After World War I, a certain country wanted to use scientific methods to promote atheism and lead its citizens away from religious beliefs. They set up a platform in the square to preach to the people, inviting three doctors as speakers.
The first was an astronomer. He explained many reasons for atheism and finally shouted, "I have been observing the universe through a telescope for more than twenty years and have never seen God, so there must be no God." And he won the applause of the crowd.
The second was a medical doctor. After talking about many theories about the absence of the human soul, he finally said, "I have dissected over a hundred bodies, carefully examining each part, and have never found any evidence of a soul. Is it in the heart? In the brain? Or in the blood? Over the years, I have conducted numerous dissections and have never seen it, so there must be no soul." Once again, he won applause.
The third was a female doctor, an ethicist. She said, "Death is like a lamp going out. When you die, that's it. There's no heaven, no hell, no eternal judgment. I have read extensively various books from ancient and modern times, and there is no mention of such things."
After the three doctors spoke, the chairman announced to the people, "Anyone who is dissatisfied with or wants to refute the atheistic reasons of the three doctors can openly discuss it." After waiting for a long time, no one raised any objections.
Just as the propaganda rally was about to end in a triumphant atmosphere, an elderly woman from the countryside walked to the front of the stage and said to the chairman, "Can I ask a few questions?" The chairman said, "Of course." So the old woman turned to the first doctor and said, "You have been observing through a telescope for more than twenty years. Have you ever seen the wind? What shape is the wind?" The doctor said, "How could you see the wind through a telescope?" The old woman said, "Is there wind in the world? If you can't see the wind through a telescope, can you see God through a telescope? Just because you can't see God through a telescope, does that mean there is no God?" The doctor was speechless.
She then turned to the second doctor and said, "Do you love your wife?" The doctor answered, "Yes." The old woman said, "Please lend me the knife you use to dissect the human body for a moment. I want to open up your stomach and see where your so-called love is located. Is it in the liver? In the stomach? Or in the intestines?" This remark caused laughter from the audience.
The old woman turned to the female doctor and said, "Have you read this book? This book is called the Bible. Doesn't it clearly say that everyone will die and face judgment after death? And it says that those who believe in Jesus will have eternal life, while those who do not believe in Jesus will be condemned. Don't think that death is the end; you should know that there are more things after death than during life! When you were in your mother's womb, if someone told you that soon you would be born into the world, with sun, moon, mountains, rivers, and you would eat and dress, would you believe it? Today, you not only believe it, but you are actually living in this world; I tell you, the eternal world is also like this."
The results and intentions of this atheistic propaganda rally were exactly the opposite. To be honest, how can we, such insignificant people, dare to confidently say that there is no God? We can say that what we encounter in daily life, we still do not know. How can we dare to say that there is no God?
