The Most Precious Gift
About two thousand years ago, the Lord Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem for you and me. He came to this world not to enjoy a life of comfort, but to suffer. He lived a humble life on earth for thirty-three years, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, enabling the lame to walk, and bringing joy and hope to those in pain and despair. In the end, He was crucified on the cross for our sins.
While on the cross, in His moment of greatest suffering, He still pleaded with the Father on behalf of those who hurt Him, saying, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." On the cross, He shed all His blood, breathed His last, and declared, "It is finished."
However, the story did not end there. On the third day, He rose from the dead. Today, He is still living.
His birth, His death, and His resurrection were all for our forgiveness and salvation, reconciling us to the holy and glorious Father, and make us beloved children of God. Through Him, we receive eternal life, healing, and peace.
The salvation of the Lord Jesus is the most precious gift.
